Surviving the first campaign in Iron Tide Command
Iron Tide Command doesn't ease you in. The first campaign throws supply management, escort routing, and a cagey enemy fleet at you all at once, and the tutorial only covers the basics. A lot of players bounce off right here.
The thing that saved me was slowing down. This isn't a game to play fast. Take a full turn to check your fuel and escort coverage before committing to any move. Overextending a convoy without escorts is how most early losses happen.
Bait the AI. It plays cautiously, so you can lure it into bad positions by dangling a lightly defended ship near your main fleet. Once I started thinking of the AI as predictable rather than smart, the whole game opened up.
Zoom out often. The full-map view catches threats you'll miss when you're focused on one lane. Small habit, big payoff.
