Iron Tide Command
Iron Tide Command asks you to think a few moves ahead. You command a fleet across a map of islands and shipping lanes, balancing fuel, escorts, and where to gamble on an aggressive push. It's slower than most mobile strategy games, and I mean that as a compliment — there's room to plan.
The interface deserves a mention because naval strategy on a small screen could easily be a mess, and it isn't. Tapping a ship pulls up clear range circles, and pinch-zoom keeps the whole theater readable. The AI opponent plays cautiously, which forces you to bait it rather than brute-force.
There's a bit of a learning wall in the first campaign, and the tutorial could hold your hand longer. Once it clicks, though, the satisfaction of springing a well-planned ambush is hard to beat.
